De Azul las Obsidianas

I composed this piece in 2019, in New York. Initially, I was writing a work for flute and guitar titled Interrupted Interactions, but its third movement gradually began to develop its own language, moving away from the previous material. It eventually became an independent piece for solo guitar. It’s a technical étude inspired by Leo Brouwer’s Étude No. 6, but approached with a more minimalist pulse, reflecting the influence of Arvo Pärt and Henryk Górecki.
